Senior Backend Engineer
COMPANY OVERVIEW

A leading financial services company in Vietnam with many investment and trading platform products. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop RESTful APIs for various clients: Web, app, SDKs/OpenAPI for partners.
• Securities investment and asset accumulation platform product
• Build secure, stable, and scalable backend systems. Conduct performance benchmarking and security analysis for software.
• Proactively research, analyze system strengths/weaknesses, propose and implement solutions to enhance product quality, codebase, and QA processes.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, tech debt refactoring, and code reviews. Apply best practices like DRY, KISS, etc., for clean, maintainable codebase. Participate in code reviews of other team members/projects to understand company systems and elevate code quality standards.
• Actively research new technologies, share information and knowledge with team members for mutual development, and implement new technologies in company projects.
• Contribute ideas to improve software development efficiency following Agile and Scrum methodologies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer using Python/Golang/Java.
• Strong IT foundation, proficient in programming concepts, self-driven with a curious learning spirit, constantly evolving.
• Proficient in git usage, especially in branch management, push/pull/commit, merge requests, and conflict resolution.
• Understanding of Restful API. Experience in building Restful APIs handling large loads is advantageous.
• Experience in software performance optimization using multithread or concurrent models.
• Ability to use SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL) for performance optimization. Experience with NoSQL databases or Message Queues is advantageous.
• Proactive problem-solving skills. Able to detect, evaluate, and solve new issues independently without waiting for directives.

Additional Advantages:

• Over 1 year of experience in building and optimizing products to handle large traffic (over 1 million visits/day).
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in Agile environments. Experience in building systems following microservices architecture.
