OVERVIEW
Big manufacturing company is looking for Costing Manager who can play as business partnering role to provide detailed analysis to support business decision making on building and operation improvement. Collecting data for costing, inventory, and purchase as well as various expense (logistics, wastes, payroll, etc.) and collaborate with all related departments to patterns/key drivers to uncover real insights.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Costing and Inventory
  • Responsible for set up the standard costing and timely update of the standard cost changes when requested by Senior management.
  • Maintain the standard costing, control master management related to costing and inventory.
  • Conduct and lead full year physical inventory count and ensure the variance is timely adjusted.
  • Collaborate with Production and Warehouse on cycle count activities.
  • Collaborate with other team Project Management Officer (PMO) and Business Process Improvement (BPI) for review and monitor new initiative for saving.
  • Work closely with the commercial and operations team for new product costing.
  • Support R&D new product standard cost simulation.
  • Prepare and analyse the operation reports.
  • Perform review analysis and other accounting bookkeeping to ensure inventory cost is accurately presented in financial statement.
  • Responsible for daily and month-end/year-end closing on inventory and costing function.
  • Prepare monthly actual cost analysis, report cost down roadmap (CDRM) for high runner product or ad-hoc report requested by management.
  • Control and review all new Sanction request for Inventory and Write Off through Finario;
  • Responsible for Reject Glove reconciliation by monthly to ensure proper handling.
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliation for inventory, spare-part and related accrued expenses.
  • Review inventory health status, figure-out risk/potential risk on inventory and propose necessary provision for inventory in accordance with GAAP.
Audit and Internal Control Compliance
  • Work with external auditor for audited Financial Statements.
  • Ensure that all internal controls are in=placed and lead the team to conduct internal self-control assessment in costing and reporting areas.
  • To perform internal control testing based on schedule given and ensure all control are in placed at plant level.
Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Collaborate with Operational teams to support preparation and analyse quarterly forecast/outlook and ensure timely submission of the forecast to regional reporting team.
  • Collaborate with Operational teams to support preparation and analyse the annual budget as per the instructed timeline and schedule Reporting.
  • Prepare monthly analysis report including balance sheet, P&L, F4 reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submit the monthly report to Regional reporting team.
  • To assist in preparation of management meeting presentation slide for monthly financial performance.
Others:
  • Support Operational teams (SCM/Planning/Warehouse/Production) for areas regarding to ERP system, Inventory, Costing.
  • Other tasks as request from Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Audit/Economics.
  • CPA/CIMA or Similar professional qualification is preferable.
Job Experience:
  • At least 8 years of progressive work experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience with costing (actual and standard costing) in a manufacturing.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with ERP (D365 Microsoft/Oracle/SAP), HFM
  • Knowledge of accounting principles for both local VAS, IAS, IFRS or USGAAP
  • Mature operation skills of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.).
  • Process management skills, strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills within multi-national/ multi-layer team as well as a moderator.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
