Our client is one of the largest general insurers in the world, with presence in over 41 markets globally, 16 of which are in Asia. Based in Japan, they are active in five business domains, namely domestic Japanese general insurance, life insurance, non-life insurance, financial services, and risk-related services.

Our client will market a wide range of non-life insurance products to both enterprises and individuals, including property, marine cargo, motor, and engineering.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with teammates to set specifications for new applications/enhancements.
• Design prototypes according to specifications.
• Develop applications or enhancements, either locally or with vendors within deadlines.
• Perform unit, integration, functional and non-functional tests.
• Work with user to execute user-acceptance tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Compose technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.
• Compose release documents/user manuals/guides for end users effectively.
• Ensure quality of developed applications and services.
• Timely/periodically report all information to higher managers
• As per assigned by line managers and other office work as required by the Company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Familiar with at least one of the following: C# and Javascript.
• Experience with one of the following is a plus: .NET, NodeJS/React/RESTful API/PL/SQL/SQL/HTML/CSS/Mobile/Low code development.
• 2 years’ experience in software development is a plus
• BSc/BA in software engineering or relevant field.
• Certificate in software development is a plus.
• Object-oriented programming.
