Our client is a leading Japanese manufacturer. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import Export Leader to oversee and manage all aspects of our import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international trade, logistics, compliance, and leadership. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute plans to optimize import/export processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to import/export laws, regulations, and trade agreements, staying updated on changes to maintain compliance.

• Documentation Management: Oversee import/export documentation accuracy and completeness to prevent delays and penalties.

• Logistics Optimization: Coordinate transportation and shipping to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing costs, collaborating with logistics partners.

• Risk Mitigation: Identify and address risks like currency fluctuations and supply chain disruptions associated with import/export operations.

• Vendor and Supplier Relations: Cultivate relationships with international vendors and negotiate contracts for favorable terms.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor import/export professionals to ensure high performance and compliance with company policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field

• 3+ years of import/export experience

• Expertise in regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• Proficiency in relevant software and systems

• Certification in supply chain management or trade compliance a plus.
