Job vacancy API Testing

COMPANY OVERVIEW
- JAC’s client is hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester – API Testing for assessing the quality of our Android and iOS application through manual testing.
- Your responsibility would be to understand all the functionality of the applications and generate test cases with QA manager and find and report all bugs from our mobile applications to ensure quality production.
- In addition, QA testers should look through the reported bugs from the voice of customers and try to regenerate the bugs.
- In order to succeed in this role, you should be passionate about learning our services and should have a solid background in executing quality assurance tests. Finally, a QA tester should have good communication skills with other testers or other organizations if necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding services that mobile applications provide to customers.
• Understanding Vani’s API and explaining the details to a merchant’s developers.
• Troubleshooting the issue related to the other company’s systems and reporting the issue.
• Searching logs via OpenSearch (Elastic search), defining the issue, and explaining the issues to the developers.
• Communicating with developers from Vani and from other merchants for system integration.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required
• Fluent in English (spoken) is a must.
• Basic knowledge of Fintech, especially the payment or rewards domain.

• At least 1 years of relevant experience as an API Tester/Backend engineer.
• Ability to understand REST API documentation and test API requests via tools like Postman.
• Thorough understanding of HTTP Protocol, especially HTTP Header, Authentication/Authorization, HTTP Status Code, JSON Structure.
• Ability to explain the overall process of the Vani system to the developers from other merchants and help them understand and develop the API that the Vani system requires.
