Company description
Great Eastern Life (Vietnam) was granted its insurance license by the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam on 23 November 2007. Started with an initial capital amount of VND600 billion, it is the first ASEAN life insurance company to be awarded an operational license in Vietnam. Great Eastern has been present in Vietnam since 2004. It set up its first Representative Office in Hanoi in September 2004 and the second Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City in June 2006. The two Representative Offices have been working closely with the Vietnamese authorities and companies to jointly develop the insurance industry.
