Job vacancy Mechanical OR Electrical Site Manager

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a 100% Japanese investment company, constructs power transmission and transformation facilities, provides design and construction works of electrical, energy-saving, HVAC and sanitary facility for general buildings and factory buildings for both new and existing mainly for Japanese companies. The Company also performs indoor electrical wiring, water treatment, air-conditioning, and piping works. Additionally, they run leasing operations for automobiles and office automation equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Management of budget estimates, project management (safety, quality, progress), quotation for large-scale construction design (ability to work independently)
• Manage the progress and deadline for project handover.
• Follow up and handle problems arising at the construction site.
• Communicating and coordinating with customers and subcontractors
• Evaluate costs in case of any change in design, volume, or material requirements.
• Participate in technical meetings at the site with the Main Contractor/Customer to handle issues to achieve progress, quality, and technical requirements during the construction process.
• Coordinating with Main Contractor/Customer, Project Supervisor to make decisions and carry out the work.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors and suppliers.
• Check the amounts payable to subcontractors, suppliers.
• Make and submit daily/weekly/monthly progress reports to Main Contractor/Customer
• Perform work assignment for the project team and evaluate the work through internal meetings and daily reports of the project team.
• Effectively manage project scope by ensuring that any changes to the project scope are documented and approved by an authorized person.
• Solve problems that occur outside the scope of the contract and project budget.
• Implement inspection/handover process in accordance with regulations.
• Knowledge of construction standards, fire protection standards and electrical equipment standards of Vietnam
• Safety training for workers according to Vietnamese hygiene and safety standards
• Knowledge of Vietnam's Law on Occupational Safety and Health
• Organize, implement, and maintain Project-specific Occupational Safety plans.
• Risk/danger/accident analysis to avoid any loss of people, health, property.
• Skills to report, communicate and discuss in a timely manner with superiors.
• Training, directing subordinates, engineers.
• Can work on site.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in the position of Construction Manager of electrical equipment at construction sites.
• Have good computer knowledge and use, especially good at AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, etc.
• Good planning and organization skills
• Having worked in a Japanese company is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (Listening, speaking, reading, writing)
