JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Store Manager and assistant manager in meeting or exceeding store sales targets.
  • Assist the management team by effectively leading the staff to achieve the financial, customer service and merchandising standards through effective product, people, and service planning
  • Act as a keyholder and share in the opening and closing responsibilities of the store
  • Understand store performance by analysis of reports and KPIs – conversion rate, units per transaction (UPT), average transaction value (ATV), and product performance – sell thru and rate of sales
  • To work with the store management to achieve the brand standards in customer service and selling, product presentation and merchandising, and operations
  • Lead by example in effectively building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Lead by example in the execution of operational procedures, tasks, and processes
  • Ensure all cash handling is accurate, while facilitating a superior checkout experience
  • Support and offer guidance to staff within the store, focusing on the delivery of the required standards of visual merchandising, presentation and promotion activity, customer service and sales.
  • Recognize product flow opportunities and partner with management and Sales associates on process improvements.
  • Manage back of house operations and share in the cleaning duties of the store where required.
  • Partner with management to ensure all visual and merchandising directives, promotions and markdowns are completed in a timely manner.
  • To assist the Store Manager in the recruitment, training, retaining and development of high-quality team members.
  • Supervise the Staff within the store, under the Store Manager’s direction, ensuring staff are motivated and trained on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure best practice in terms of staffing levels, following the rotas and schedules described by the store manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge & Experience
  • At least 03 years of retail experience required, including experience in coaching, counselling, and developing people
  • Must have or be pursuing Tertiary education, or equivalent qualification
  • Able to effectively communicate in English
  • Able to perform basic math functions
  • Personal qualities/skills
  • Excellent skills needed in communication, delegation, teamwork, flexibility, proactiveness, stress resistance and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and store personnel, manoeuvre around sales floor, stock-room and store office, lift and carry 30 lbs/ 13.61 kg
  • Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings according to the need of business
  • Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Able to effectively communicate in English
