Kindergarten 2: 5 to 6 years

By the end of the school year:

Kindergarten students will be able to read common words and simple sentences

Kindergarten students will be able to recognize and write both upper and lower case letters

Kindergarten students will be able to write his/her own first and family name

Kindergarten students will be able to build and use working vocabulary to describe, analyze and categorize

Kindergarten students will have experience in speaking in front of others

Kindergarten students will be able to demonstrate skills and confidence in using arts and crafts techniques and equipment

Kindergarten students will be able to sort objects by similarities, counts and recognize numbers in a set

Kindergarten students will be able to tell time

Kindergarten students will be able to recognize ordinal Numbers (1st, 2nd etc)

Kindergarten students will be able to use simple fractions and value of money

Kindergarten students will be able to operate simple equipment and carry out simple experiments

Kindergarten students will be able to derive solutions, reasons or explanation

Kindergarten students will be able to investigate and gather information.
