COMPANY OVERVIEW
A foreign company in Food Service is looking for a Food Service Manager to join their team.
Working location: Nauru (on-site)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure that guests/customers are satisfied with their dining experience as the first impression will create a lasting impression building customer loyalty. Maintaining the standard of the business and to ensure that it is profitable.
  • Develop and maintain professional catering services thorough the various eateries of the company;
  • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly and where applicable quarterly budgets of the company’s F&B shops;
  • Set short, medium and long term sales targets for each eatery;
  • Develop and regularly review the menu for the various eateries taking into account the customers’ interests/preferences;
  • Develop and train staff to improve productivity and provide quality service;
  • Any other duties assigned by the Senior Management;
General Responsibilities:  
  • Manage a team of 30 staff and ensure that each is compliant with regulated policies regarding food handling and safety;
  • Encourage employees to provide outstanding customer service by enthusiastically welcoming diners, suggesting complementary menu items, regularly checking on guests and serving the highest quality food.
  • Oversee the preparation, presentation and delivery of food to guarantee that guests receive meals that are proportionate, consistent, cooked properly and delightfully stunning;
  • Mediate conflict and resolve customer complaints related to food quality, service rendered or wait times;
  • Inspect kitchen areas, work stations and dining areas to verify that all are clean, safe and in working order;
  • Create employee schedules and find viable solutions when an employee is unable to make a shift; Review restaurant ratings, employee conduct and guest feedback to determine areas where things can improve, and come up with innovative solutions to problems;
  • Forecast supplies as needed, maintain a reasonable inventory and monitor finances to determine compliance with assigned budgets;
  • Develop a marketing strategy to focus its limited resources on opportunities to increase sales and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Culinary Degree is preferred   
  • 5 years’s experience working in Customer Service;
  • 5 years’ experience in management positions;
  • English communication skills
  • Vietnamese proficiency

BENEFITS
  • AUD: 28,000 – 34,000 per annum
  • 2 years contract with return airfare (at the start and in the end of contract)
